350 years of experience
Saint-Gobain was established in 1665 by French Minister Jean-Baptiste Colbert along with Louis XIV in order to provide glass production at an industrial scale for the first time in history. Among the first deliveries were glass for the Hall of Mirrors at the castle of Versaille.
Ever since being established in the 17th Century Saint-Gobain has retained its commitment to research and development and even today we spend over £400 million on R&D.
