Ahead of the biggest Nordic construction fair – Nordbygg, held in Stockholm this week - Saint-Gobain reveals new services to support its Swedish customers willing to build more sustainably.

The new version of Saint-Gobain’s hallbartbyggande.se website offers an intuitive access to information about Green Building Labels such as LEED, BREEAM SE or Miljöbyggnad.

“The site is built as a collaborative service to our customers who are working with certified projects,” explains Louise Röström, Sustainability Manager for Saint-Gobain Sweden. ”Property owners, architects, engineers, consultants, contractors can all use our website as a knowledge platform about green buildings.

They can find information about the various labels and how Saint-Gobain solutions can help them achieve the certification level they are aiming for.”

In addition to information about the labels, the website also offers an easy access to the documentation, such as EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations), needed to reach some of the credits.

First of its kind: A Saint-Gobain system EPD in Sweden

Hallbartbyggande.se is not the only sustainable news from Saint-Gobain in the week of Nordbygg, as the Group also launches EPDs for its sustainable system Silent Wall.

“The wall concept is developed by Saint-Gobain with a combination of innovative products from ISOVER, Weber and Gyproc. This combination of products creates a wall element which contributes to high level of acoustic and thermal comfort, which is fire and moisture safe, energy efficient and economical,” says Patrik Andersson, Business Development Director at Saint-Gobain Sweden. ”We wanted to provide our customers with information about the environmental impacts of the entire system, in order to showcase the good performance of this lightweight system with heavy performance.”

The EPDs allow customers to more easily calculate the Life Cycle Assessment of their own buildings and thus make more sustainable choices in the design and construction.

“At Saint-Gobain Nordic, we want to be a knowledge partner and solution provider for building green,” concludes Camille Fabre, Sustainability Director at Saint-Gobain Nordic and Baltic. “We believe that together with our customers, we can build a more sustainable future. Beyond our range of sustainable solutions for green buildings, we have grown internal competencies within our teams to be able to support our customers and the entire building value chain. We are ready to collaborate and we believe we can be much more than a supplier in the construction value chain, and I think both of the solutions, we are debuting at Nordbygg testify to that.”
